Your Next Step Starts Here
You do not have to know exactly which service you need before contacting Renewed Purpose. Tell us what is happening, what type of support you are looking for, and any current services or providers involved. Our team can help you understand available options and the appropriate next step.
Whether you are seeking Outpatient Therapy, exploring the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program (MH-IOP), or need information about another RPTC service, we can help clarify the appropriate pathway.
Start With What You Need
All individual’s circumstances are different. You do not need to determine the appropriate level of care on your own. Our goal is to make the process clear while respecting each individual’s circumstances, needs, and preferences.
When you contact Renewed Purpose, you can:
-
Tell us what support you are seeking.
-
Share basic contact and service information.
-
Ask questions about available services.
-
Identify whether you are interested in Outpatient Therapy or MH-IOP.
-
Share information about current providers or services when relevant.
-
Learn about applicable intake, eligibility, insurance, or authorization requirements.
-
Receive guidance about the appropriate next step.

Requesting information or an appointment does not guarantee admission, eligibility, insurance coverage, provider availability, or placement in a particular level of care.
Clear, Respectful Support from the Start

Appointment Requests and Service Access
RPTC uses different access pathways depending on the service.
Outpatient Therapy:
Available appointment times may be booked through the live online scheduling system.
MH-IOP:
Individuals interested in the Mental Health Intensive Outpatient Program begin with an assessment/intake process rather than booking directly into treatment sessions.
Community Stabilization:
Referrals must be submitted through the dedicated Community Stabilization referral pathway.
Peer Recovery Services:
Use the appropriate Peer Recovery Services inquiry/referral pathway.
Mobile Crisis Response:
MCR is initiated through Virginia’s 988 crisis system and is not a direct RPTC referral or appointment service.
What to Have Ready
Having basic information available can make the process easier. Depending on the service, you may be asked for:
-
Current contact information.
-
The type of support you are seeking.
-
Current behavioral health or other relevant providers.
-
Insurance information, when applicable.
-
Preferred appointment days and times for Outpatient Therapy.
-
Relevant treatment or referral information when applicable.
-
Information about current needs and circumstances.
-
Additional documentation required for a specific service.
Important: An appointment request is not the same as an emergency request. Individuals experiencing immediate safety concerns or a medical or psychiatric emergency should use the appropriate crisis or emergency response system.
